While it's common to think of citrus as a summertime treat (who doesn't love ice cold lemonade on a hot day?), citrus is actually at its prime in the winter. So, how about we celebrate the grey skies and snow on the ground with a recipe for this bright and flavorful citrus salad?
Let's Toast: Spicy Hot Toddy
The sparkle of the holidays has faded, leaving piles of slush and remnants of the sniffles. The perfect thing to combat the post-holiday doldrums is a hot toddy. The beauty of a hot toddy is that it's so versatile. And that after one or two you absolutely will not care how cold it is outside! This drink is traditionally made with whisky or brandy, but you can use any spirit that compels you. We used a black tea base and let it steep with fresh ginger and cinnamon to make it nice and spicy, which is particularly great if you're fighting a winter cold.
