Sunday, September 22, we’ll be helping out with the big harvest at Pokey Creek Farm in lovely Santa, Idaho. Please RSVP using the form below!
What is a Crop Mob?
A crop mob is a family-friendly volunteering event where community members gather to pitch in at a small, local farm, to help with the harvest! You'll want to bring your gardening gear — gloves, hiking shoes, and clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty are a big plus! With your help they can continue to provide us with delicious, healthy, locally-grown food. That's the kind of collective action Co-ops are all about!
How can I help?
This season, we're lending our hands in cooperation to Pokey Creek Farm, a local supplier of garlic, onions, potatoes and more to the Co-op Produce and Prepared Foods department. Pokey Cree'k’s beautiful mountainside farm needs all the help they can get with the big potato harvest!
Anything Else I should know?
Dress appropriately for outdoor activity! You'll want close-toed shoes suitable for standing and walking, as well as ample sun protection and plenty of water
Pokey Creek is located in Santa, Idaho, about an hour and a half north of Moscow. Please plan to meet at the Post Office in Santa at 10 a.m. When we are all assembled, we will drive the rest of the way to the farm caravan-style!
