I've been a long-time co-op supporter as an engaged customer. My experience currently as a Physical Therapist at Gritman, a small business owner and Board Director for 6 years on the State of Washington Physical Therapy Association I understand the fiduciary responsibility to expand a company's/association's role in the community while being financially responsible with that growth. I'm a strong advocate for organic and regenerative farming and am proud to be friends with two local farmers. I want a strong healthy community with a resource like the Co-op that promotes that health as well as promoting sustainable practices. The "Think globally but act locally" saying is still relevant today.
I'd like to serve to help the Co-op's continued evolution for the next 50 years and bring my enthusiasm and perspective to a growing Palouse. I've had to make difficult decisions in my own (previous) business and understand collaboration and different points of view assist in smart decision-making when all parties have a common goal of a healthy and sustainable Co-op. I do not have difficulty sharing my opinion and encourage dialog for any or all discussions. I've headed departments of 30 people so can delegate as necessary and appropriate. I've seen other co-op's grow well and want to bring that perspective.
