I surprise myself to write that I have lived on the Palouse for almost 20 years! With deep family history in Moscow with some of the first settlers of this town being my ancestors, the Mix family, I have great pride in this community. The heritage I have here and all that my family has done to help make the Moscow we love today enhances my desire to continue to make this a great place to live. As a parent with young children, I provide a perspective that is hopefully unique. I also bring insight to the goals, issues, and topics of those in my social, personal and professional circles. In the spring of 2021, I was originally hired at the City of Moscow Community Events Division and worked every single Moscow Farmers Market from May-October. This gave me deeper insight to the importance of shopping local in our community. Throughout my time on the Palouse, I have been involved in various community activities and volunteer work. This has helped shaped me as a person and resident of this community.

I am excited to serve on the Board to not only learn more about this but also find ways to engage the community and enhance current Co-op programs that are in place all the while, bringing my background and various experiences to those discussions. I am very excited at the opportunity to find more ways to fulfill the principles and values of the Co-op in tangible ways. I pride myself on my ability to work with a team, collaborate, jump into action, maintain confidentiality, advocate, and recognize efforts in meaningful ways.
