The Moscow Food Co-op is pleased to be able to offer modest donations to a variety of community non-profit organizations. Most of our support is provided in the form of Co-op gift cards, which may be used as door prizes, to purchase or special order food for an event or as silent auction items. Depending on the nature of the request, in-kind donations may be possible.
Our Community Contributions budget is limited, so we advise you to apply in writing, a minimum of six weeks in advance of the date by which you need the donation. We will not consider donation requests made over the phone or in person and if a request is made less than 20 business days in advance of the date by which you need the donation, we may not be able to accommodate your request. Requests will most likely be responded to by email.
The Co-op Community Contributions program is to benefit local, non-sectarian, non-profit and non-discriminatory organizations. Preference will be given to organizations whose goals address food security issues or align with the Ends of the Co-op, which are: maintain an economically sustainable consumer food co-op; support the local, organic and sustainable food and goods economy; foster civil dialogue, connections between people and community engagement; Provide our owners and customers access to a diverse array of food, goods and services that meets their needs; model environmental sustainability through our activities, facilities and products and services; educate our owners, customers and the wider community about food and food systems; and create a rewarding work environment for our staff and excellent service for our owners and customers.
