Serving on the Board of Directors is a rewarding and essential way to shape the Co-op.
A cooperative is an independent association of persons united to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled enterprise. The Board is a primary means for this democratic control of the store, and is one of the fundamental ways in which we’re different from other grocery stores.

- The application deadline is Friday, January 9th.
- The election will run from Monday, March 2nd through Sunday, March 8th. The Candidates Forum will be held at the beginning of voting week, possibly on March 2nd or 3rd.
- New directors will be seated in April.
Our Board is composed of and elected by Co-op owners. The seven Board members act as trustees for the Co-op by providing direction and oversight regarding the Co-op’s financial well-being and long-term goals and by evaluating the General Manager’s performance. The Board creates and maintains policies for the store that help us put our values and vision into practice.
