We have fresh turmeric in the produce department right now, but you can always use powdered if that's what's available to you. Turmeric, which is in the ginger family, is widely used across the world in curries and soups and it's what gives American mustard it's color. It's flavor is mild and earthy and it has a mild heat. It's been touted for its anti-inflammatory properties, making a wonderful choice for folks with arthritis, cancer and autoimmune diseases.
